Cookies are probably my favorite thing to bake, and I do not really believe in cutting them out just because I am trying to stay lean.
I would rather make versions that still taste like dessert but give me a little more protein and fit more easily into the rest of my day. Some of these are actual baked cookies, one is a giant skillet cookie, and one is edible cookie dough, but they all scratch the same itch for me.
These are five of the high-protein cookie recipes I keep coming back to when I want something sweet. The macros vary a lot depending on the recipe, so there is everything from an 89-calorie peanut butter cookie to a full 50-gram-protein bowl of cookie dough.

Final Thoughts
I eat dessert pretty much every day, so for me staying lean has never been about pretending I suddenly do not like cookies.
I just like having recipes that give me options.
Sometimes that means an 89-calorie peanut butter cookie. Sometimes it means a giant 580-calorie skillet cookie with 44 grams of protein. And sometimes I just want to sit down with an entire bowl of cookie dough.
These are five of my favorites right now, and I will keep adding to this list as I make more.
