Hey, I’m Jacob.
I make high-protein, macro-friendly versions of the desserts and comfort foods I grew up loving—because progress should never mean giving up the food you actually enjoy.

Dessert was always part of the story.
I’ve loved desserts my entire life. Growing up in Kentucky, I was surrounded by my grandma’s cakes, my mom’s holiday cookies, and the family recipes that always seemed to come out of our kitchen.
As I got older, I realized the obvious: sugar, fat, and calories add up quickly, and the way I was eating did not always match the fitness goals I had for myself.
In 2020 and 2021, I started tracking calories more seriously. I learned just how calorie-dense traditional desserts could be. I also knew I was not willing to give them up, so I began experimenting with lower-calorie, macro-friendly versions of the desserts I grew up loving.
By then, District Dogs, the dog daycare and boarding company I founded in Washington, D.C., in 2014, had grown into an established local business. Building District Dogs taught me how much I enjoy creating brands, developing strong identities, and turning an idea into something cohesive and meaningful.
BakedLean came from that same entrepreneurial mindset. I originally created it as a personal project because I wanted desserts to fit within my calorie and fitness goals. As more people began making the recipes, sharing their results, and telling me the recipes helped them stay on track, I realized BakedLean could become something much bigger.
You can eat the desserts you love and still hit your fitness goals.
BakedLean is a high-protein recipe and digital food brand built on a simple idea: you should not have to choose between making progress and eating something you love.
No extremes. No giving up dessert. Just smarter ingredient choices and recipes designed to make calories, protein, and macros easier to manage.
BakedLean combines the family baking traditions I grew up with in Kentucky with the way I eat and live today in Washington, D.C.
Let’s make room for dessert.
