I made this Chips Ahoy Protein Bowl because I had a few sitting around and thought they would be good crushed into one of my bowls. It ended up being way better than I expected.

The , cheesecake pudding mix, and vanilla turn into a really thick cheesecake-batter texture. Then you get pieces of chocolate chip cookie in every bite.

The entire bowl has about 550 calories and 57 grams of protein, depending on the exact brands you use. It takes around five minutes to make, requires no baking, and is especially good after chilling for 15 minutes so the base can firm up and the can soften slightly.

  • 3 Chips Ahoy cookies, crushed
  • 1–2 tablespoons milk, only if needed

Ingredient Notes

Fat-Free Greek Yogurt

Greek yogurt creates the base and provides a large amount of the protein.

Use a thick Greek yogurt and pour off any liquid sitting on top before mixing. Regular yogurt contains more water and will not create the same cheesecake-batter texture.

Sugar-Free Cheesecake Pudding Mix

Add the dry pudding mix directly to the yogurt. Do not prepare it according to the package directions first.

The pudding mix absorbs moisture from the yogurt and makes the bowl much thicker as it rests.

Vanilla Protein Powder

Vanilla works well because it adds sweetness without covering up the cheesecake and chocolate chip cookie flavors.

Chips Ahoy Cookies

I use three original Chips Ahoy cookies.

Crush them into a mixture of crumbs and larger pieces. The crumbs spread the cookie flavor throughout the bowl, while the larger pieces give it a better texture.

Equipment

Digital Kitchen Scale

A scale makes it easier to measure the yogurt and protein powder consistently, especially when calculating the nutrition.

Silicone Spatula

A sturdy spatula helps work the dry pudding and protein powder into the thick Greek yogurt while scraping the bottom of the bowl.

Mixing Bowl

Use a medium bowl with enough room to stir vigorously without spilling the dry ingredients.

How to Make a Chips Ahoy Cheesecake Protein Bowl

1. Mix the Base

Add the Greek yogurt, vanilla protein powder, and dry cheesecake pudding mix to a bowl.

Stir until everything is completely combined. Scrape the bottom and sides of the bowl so there are no hidden pockets of dry protein powder.

The mixture should become very thick.

2. Let It Rest

Let the bowl sit for about five minutes.

This gives the pudding mix time to absorb moisture and thicken the yogurt.

3. Adjust the Texture

When the mixture is thicker than you want, add milk 1 tablespoon at a time.

You may not need any milk, especially when you prefer a dense cheesecake-batter texture.

4. Add the Cookies

Crush three Chips Ahoy cookies.

Fold most of the cookie pieces into the cheesecake mixture and save a few for the top.

5. Serve or Chill

Top the bowl with the remaining cookie pieces.

Eat it immediately for crunchier cookies, or refrigerate it for 15–30 minutes for a colder and thicker texture.

Expert Tips

  • Mix thoroughly before adding milk. The base may loosen slightly as the powders become fully incorporated.
  • Add milk slowly. A single tablespoon can make a noticeable difference.
  • Chill the bowl when you want the thickest cheesecake texture.
  • Add the cookies immediately before eating when you want them crunchy.
  • Leave a few larger cookie pieces instead of crushing all three into fine crumbs.

Variations

Oreo Cheesecake Bowl

Replace the Chips Ahoy cookies with crushed Oreos.

Chocolate Chip Cheesecake Bowl

Use chocolate protein powder and keep the Chips Ahoy cookies.

Biscoff Cheesecake Bowl

Use crushed Biscoff cookies with cheesecake or white chocolate pudding mix.

Birthday Cake Cheesecake Bowl

Use vanilla sandwich cookies and add a few sprinkles on top.

Changing the cookies, protein powder, or pudding mix will change the nutrition.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why Is My Bowl Too Thick?

Your Greek yogurt or protein powder may absorb more moisture.

Add milk 1 tablespoon at a time until the bowl reaches the texture you prefer.

Why Is It Chalky?

The dry ingredients may not be completely incorporated, or your protein powder may be especially absorbent.

Keep stirring, let it rest for five minutes, and then add a small amount of milk if needed.

Can I Use Regular Cheesecake Pudding Mix?

Yes, but regular pudding mix will add more sugar and calories.

Can I Make It Ahead of Time?

Yes. Mix the yogurt, pudding mix, and protein powder and refrigerate the base for up to three days.

Keep the cookies separate until you are ready to eat it so they do not become completely soft.

Final Thoughts

This was one of those recipes I made just because I had a few cookies around, but it turned out too good not to share.

The cheesecake pudding mix makes the yogurt unbelievably thick, and the crushed Chips Ahoy cookies make it feel like an actual dessert instead of another bowl of protein yogurt.

Eat it right away for crunchy cookies or let it chill for a thicker, softer cookie texture.

Notes

Chips Ahoy Cheesecake Protein Bowl Tips & Expert Strategy

TEXTURE NOTE: This bowl should be incredibly thick, like real cheesecake batter. It will not be light or runny like standard breakfast yogurt.
WHEY VS CASEIN: Using a 100% whey protein powder will often leave the bowl feeling chalky or excessively dry. A blend works best to keep it creamy.
SUBSTITUTION WARNING: Swapping Greek yogurt for regular plain yogurt will prevent the bowl from thickening up correctly because there is too much water in standard yogurt.
BETTER LATER: This tastes great immediately, but it is best after chilling in the fridge for 15-30 minutes because the pudding mix firms up even more when cold.
SERVING TIP: Only fold in the cookies right before you are about to eat it. If you mix them in and leave it in the fridge overnight, they will turn into mush.
