Ingredients

  • 2 cups hot water
  • 1 packet zero sugar blue raspberry drink mix
  • 4.5 tbsp unflavored beef gelatin

Method

  1. Add 2 cups of water to a glass measuring cup and heat in the microwave until hot but not boiling.
  2. Whisk the zero sugar blue raspberry drink packet into the hot water until entirely dissolved.
  3. Slowly sprinkle the beef gelatin into the liquid while whisking constantly to prevent clumping.
  4. Continue whisking until the mixture is completely smooth and clear. Skim any foam off the surface with a spoon.
  5. Place your silicone bar mold on a baking sheet, then carefully pour the liquid into the mold cavities.
  6. Transfer to the refrigerator and chill for 2 to 3 hours or until the bars are completely firm.
  7. Gently release the bars from the silicone molds and store them in an airtight container in the fridge.

Notes

Blue Raspberry Gummy Protein Bars Tips & Expert Strategy

TEXTURE NOTE: These bars are designed to be dense and highly chewy, mimicking a traditional candy bite rather than a soft gelatin cup dessert.
SUBSTITUTION WARNING: Do not try to substitute the beef gelatin with collagen peptides or protein powder. The recipe completely relies on gelatin to solidify into a pick-up bar format.
BETTER LATER NOTE: Keep these stored in the refrigerator right up until serving. Gelatin will naturally soften up and lose its firm chew if left out on a warm counter.
SERVING TIP: Enjoy these straight from the fridge while they are completely cold for the ultimate firm and clean candy-style bite.
