Ingredients
Cereal Milk Base
- 1.5 cups Frosted Flakes
- 1.5 cups skim milk
- 1 cup low-fat cottage cheese
- 2 tablespoons sugar-free vanilla pudding mix
- 1 scoop vanilla protein powder
- 2 scoops granulated sugar alternative
- 1 dash salt
Mix-In and Topping
- 0.25 cup Frosted Flakes for mix-in
- 1 handful Additional Frosted Flakes for topping, optional
Method
- Add 1½ cups of Frosted Flakes and 1½ cups of skim milk to a bowl. Stir, cover, and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
- Pour the cereal and milk through a fine-mesh strainer into a bowl or measuring cup. Press the softened cereal gently to recover the milk, then discard the cereal.
- Add the strained cereal milk, cottage cheese, pudding mix, protein powder, sweetener, and salt to a blender.
- Blend until completely smooth and no cottage cheese curds remain.
- Pour the mixture into a Ninja Creami pint container, keeping it below the MAX FILL line.
- Cover and freeze on a flat surface for at least 12 hours, or until completely solid.
- Process the frozen pint using the Lite Ice Cream setting.
- Use Re-Spin if the texture looks crumbly or powdery. Add 1 to 2 tablespoons of skim milk and re-spin again only when needed.
- Make a hole in the center of the smooth ice cream and add ¼ cup of Frosted Flakes.
- Run the Mix-In setting.
- Top with additional Frosted Flakes, if desired, and serve immediately.
