  • 20 g Pillsbury Zero Sugar Vanilla Frosting
  • 1/4 tsp cake batter extract

Method

  1. Weigh the plain nonfat Greek yogurt into a small bowl using a digital scale.
  2. Add the protein powder, zero sugar vanilla frosting, cake batter extract, salt, and optional vanilla extract to the bowl.
  3. Stir slowly and thoroughly with a spoon or silicone spatula until the mixture is completely smooth and no dry pockets of powder remain.
  4. Gently fold in most of the rainbow sprinkles, then scatter the remaining sprinkles across the top for garnish.
  5. Place the bowl in the refrigerator for 5 to 10 minutes to allow the texture to firm up and reach a thick cake batter consistency.

Notes

High-Protein Birthday Cake Batter Tips & Expert Strategy

TEXTURE NOTE: This should be thick and spoonable like real raw cake batter, not light or watery.
SUBSTITUTION WARNING: Swapping the recommended whey/casein blend for 100% whey powder will pull too much moisture out of the dairy, making the final dessert texture chalky and dry.
BETTER LATER NOTE: Letting the mixture rest in the fridge for 10 minutes allows the protein powder to fully absorb the liquid, removing any graininess completely.
SERVING TIP: Serve chilled directly out of the refrigerator, and top with a few extra crushed graham crackers if you want an extra crunch.
