Ingredients

  • 1/2 lb 96% lean ground beef 225g
  • 400 g gold potatoes diced into 1/2-inch pieces
  • 1 medium tomato diced
  • 1/4 small onion diced (up to 1/2 onion if preferred)
  • 1 cup lettuce chopped (up to 2 cups)
  • 2 tbsp chopped pickles up to 4 tbsp
  • 2 tbsp special sauce already prepared (up to 4 tbsp)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil or cooking spray
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp paprika

Method

  1. Wash and dice the gold potatoes into about 1/2-inch pieces. Pat dry, then toss with olive oil or coat lightly with cooking spray. Season with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
  2. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C). Add the potatoes in an even layer and cook for 15–20 minutes, shaking halfway through, until golden brown and crispy outside and tender inside.
  3. While the potatoes cook, heat a skillet over medium heat. Add the ground beef and break it up with a spatula. Cook for 6–8 minutes, until browned and fully cooked.
  4. Dice the tomato and onion, chop the lettuce, and chop the pickles if needed.
  5. Add the crispy potatoes to a bowl. Top with the cooked beef, tomato, onion, lettuce, and pickles.
  6. Drizzle the special sauce over the top and serve immediately.

Notes

Tip: Ensure your potatoes are completely dry before tossing with oil and spices to achieve maximum crispiness in the air fryer. If meal prepping, store all components separately and assemble just before eating.
