Flavored Oreo Fluffy Yogurt (High-Protein Recipe)

This Flavored Oreo Fluffy Yogurt is the base recipe I use whenever I find a new Oreo flavor I want to turn into a high-protein dessert.

The idea is simple: mix a full tub of nonfat Greek yogurt with sugar-free pudding mix until it gets thick and fluffy, then fold in whichever Oreos you are using. Golden Oreos make it taste like vanilla cookie cream, but birthday cake, mint, peanut butter, seasonal, and limited-edition flavors all work with the same method.

It takes about five minutes, requires no blender, and gives you a large dessert bowl with more than 40 grams of protein before the exact cookie choice is calculated. The calories and macros will change depending on the Oreo flavor and how many you add.

Ingredients

See the recipe card at the bottom of the post for the complete measurements.

  • Nonfat Greek yogurt
  • Sugar-free white chocolate pudding mix
  • Oreos in any flavor

Ingredient Notes

Nonfat Greek Yogurt

I use one full 16-ounce tub of nonfat Greek yogurt.

Starting with the entire container keeps the recipe easy and gives you a high-volume dessert without measuring out a partial serving.

Greek yogurt brands vary in thickness. A very thick yogurt creates the fluffiest texture, while a thinner brand may need a few extra minutes to set after the pudding mix is added.

Pour off any visible liquid sitting on top before mixing.

Sugar-Free White Chocolate Pudding Mix

White chocolate pudding mix is my default because its sweet cream flavor works with almost every Oreo variety.

It is mild enough for Golden Oreos but also works with chocolate, mint, peanut butter, and birthday cake cookies.

Add the dry powder directly to the yogurt. Do not prepare the pudding first.

Start with 28 grams. Too much pudding powder can make the yogurt chalky or so thick that it becomes difficult to eat.

Flavored Oreos

This is where the recipe changes every time.

You can use:

  • Golden Oreos
  • Birthday Cake Oreos
  • Mint Oreos
  • Peanut Butter Oreos
  • Lemon Oreos
  • Seasonal Oreos
  • Limited-edition flavors
  • Another sandwich cookie with a similar texture

The cookie choice changes the calories, carbohydrates, fat, and final flavor, so calculate the nutrition using the exact package you buy.

Two cookies give you a lighter cookie flavor. Four make the bowl feel much more like a full Oreo dessert.

The Best Pudding Flavors for Different Oreos

White chocolate works with almost everything, but you can match the pudding flavor to the cookie when you want a more specific dessert.

Golden Oreos

Use white chocolate, vanilla, or cheesecake pudding mix.

White chocolate gives the yogurt a sweet cream flavor without covering up the vanilla cookies.

Mint Oreos

Use chocolate or white chocolate pudding mix.

Chocolate makes it taste closer to mint chocolate cookie mousse, while white chocolate keeps the mint flavor lighter.

Peanut Butter Oreos

Use chocolate, vanilla, or cheesecake pudding mix.

Chocolate creates a chocolate-peanut-butter dessert, while cheesecake pudding makes it taste more like a peanut butter Oreo cheesecake filling.

Birthday Cake Oreos

Use vanilla, white chocolate, or cheesecake pudding mix.

You can also add a small amount of sprinkles right before serving.

Lemon or Fruity Oreos

Use cheesecake, vanilla, or white chocolate pudding mix.

Chocolate pudding will usually compete with the lighter fruit flavor.

Why Pudding Mix Makes Yogurt Fluffy

Dry pudding mix absorbs moisture from the Greek yogurt.

As you stir, the mixture becomes noticeably thicker and smoother. Letting it rest for five to 15 minutes gives the pudding powder more time to hydrate.

The pudding mix also softens some of the natural tanginess of Greek yogurt. That is what makes the finished bowl taste more like a dessert filling than plain yogurt with cookies stirred into it.

The exact texture depends on the yogurt and pudding brands you use. It should be thick and spoonable, but it will not have the airy texture of whipped cream.

Equipment

You only need:

  • Medium mixing bowl or the original yogurt container
  • Silicone spatula or sturdy spoon
  • Small bag or bowl for crushing the cookies
  • Digital kitchen scale, optional

A hand mixer can add a little more air, but stirring vigorously by hand works well.

How to Make Flavored Oreo Fluffy Yogurt

1. Prepare the Greek Yogurt

Open the Greek yogurt and pour off any excess liquid.

Transfer it to a medium bowl or leave it in the original tub when there is enough room to stir without spilling.

2. Add the Pudding Mix

Sprinkle 28 grams of dry sugar-free white chocolate pudding mix evenly over the yogurt.

Do not dump it all into one small spot. Spreading it across the surface makes it easier to mix without leaving dry clumps.

3. Stir Until Thick

Stir vigorously for approximately 60 seconds.

Scrape the bottom and sides of the container as you mix. Dry pudding powder can hide underneath the thick yogurt.

The mixture should become thicker, smoother, and slightly lighter.

If it looks grainy, let it rest for five minutes and stir it again.

4. Crush the Oreos

Place two to four Oreos in a small bag or bowl and crush them.

I like a mixture of fine crumbs and larger pieces. The crumbs spread the flavor through the yogurt, while the larger pieces give you a better bite.

5. Fold in the Cookies

Add most of the crushed Oreos to the yogurt.

Fold gently until the cookies are evenly distributed. Save a few larger pieces for the top.

6. Serve or Chill

Eat it immediately when you want the cookie pieces crunchy.

For a thicker bowl with softer cookies, refrigerate it for 10 to 15 minutes before serving.

Finish it with the reserved Oreo pieces.

Flavor Ideas

Golden Oreo Fluffy Yogurt

Use Golden Oreos and white chocolate pudding mix.

This version tastes like vanilla cookie cream and works especially well when you want something sweet without a strong chocolate flavor.

Mint Oreo Fluffy Yogurt

Use Mint Oreos with chocolate pudding mix.

Top it with extra crushed cookies or a few mini chocolate chips.

Birthday Cake Oreo Fluffy Yogurt

Use birthday cake or confetti Oreos with vanilla pudding mix.

Add sprinkles immediately before serving so they do not bleed into the yogurt.

Peanut Butter Oreo Fluffy Yogurt

Use peanut butter-flavored Oreos and cheesecake pudding mix.

A small drizzle of peanut butter over the top adds more flavor but will change the nutrition.

Lemon Oreo Fluffy Yogurt

Use lemon Oreos with cheesecake pudding mix.

The result tastes closer to a lemon cheesecake filling than a traditional cookies-and-cream bowl.

Seasonal Oreo Fluffy Yogurt

Use whichever limited-edition Oreo is available and choose a matching pudding flavor.

This is an easy way to turn the same yogurt base into a seasonal dessert without developing an entirely different recipe.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I Use Any Oreo Flavor?

Yes.

The yogurt and pudding base stays the same, and the cookie flavor can be changed based on what you have.

The nutrition needs to be recalculated because Oreo varieties do not all have identical macros.

What Is the Best Oreo Flavor for Fluffy Yogurt?

That depends on what you like.

Golden Oreos are a good starting point because the vanilla cookie flavor works naturally with white chocolate pudding and Greek yogurt.

Mint, peanut butter, birthday cake, and lemon also work well when paired with the right pudding flavor.

Why Is My Fluffy Yogurt Grainy?

The pudding mix may not be fully incorporated.

Stir for at least 60 seconds, let it rest for five minutes, and stir again. Scrape the bottom and corners of the container for hidden dry powder.

Why Is It Too Thick?

You may have used too much pudding mix, or your Greek yogurt may be especially thick.

Add milk one teaspoon at a time until it loosens.

Why Is It Too Runny?

Use a thick Greek yogurt and drain off any visible liquid first.

Let the finished mixture rest in the refrigerator for 10 to 15 minutes. It should continue thickening.

Can I Use Regular Pudding Mix?

Yes.

Regular instant pudding mix works, but the sugar, calories, and carbohydrates will be higher.

Can I Add ?

You can add a small amount, but the yogurt is already high in protein.

Protein powder will also make the mixture thicker, so you may need to add a little milk.

Do the Oreos Stay Crunchy?

Only when they are added shortly before serving.

They soften as they absorb moisture from the yogurt. After several hours, they become more like soft cake pieces.

Can I Make It Ahead of Time?

Yes.

Prepare the Greek yogurt and pudding base ahead of time and store it in the refrigerator. Add the crushed Oreos shortly before eating when you want them crunchy.

Storage

Store the fluffy yogurt in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days.

The mixture may become thicker as it sits.

For the best cookie texture, keep the Oreos separate and add them right before serving.

I do not recommend freezing it. Greek yogurt can separate and become icy after thawing.

Final Thoughts

This Flavored Oreo Fluffy Yogurt is less of a single flavor and more of a base recipe you can keep using.

The Greek yogurt and pudding mix stay the same. The Oreo flavor does the rest of the work.

Golden Oreos make a great vanilla version, but the same recipe works when you find a limited-edition flavor you want to try. Change the cookies, match the pudding flavor when needed, and you have a new high-protein dessert in about five minutes.

Notes

Flavored Oreo Fluffy Yogurt Tips & Expert Strategy

TEXTURE TIP: This should be extremely thick and spoonable, almost like a cheesecake filling. If it feels too runny, you likely didn't drain the liquid off the yogurt first, or you need to let it rest in the fridge for a few minutes so the pudding mix can activate.
SUBSTITUTION WARNING: Using regular instant pudding instead of sugar-free will work perfectly for the texture, but it will significantly increase the overall calories and carbohydrates of the bowl.
BETTER LATER: If you prefer your cookies to have a soft, cake-like texture, mix this up and leave it in the fridge for an hour. The cookies will absorb moisture from the yogurt and soften beautifully.
SERVING TIP: Save your largest chunks of crushed Oreos to sprinkle directly on top right before you eat it. This ensures you get a great crunch even if the mixed-in cookies start to soften.
